• Feeding The Plant – Mix a slow-release fertilizer with the water-retention granules and the potting soil keeping in mind the recommended amounts in the package. After filling the planter halfway, fill it with water.
• Water The Plants – Before removing the plants or dwarf fruit trees from their nursery pots, water them with huge amounts of water. Space them at about 4” apart. Be sure to firm the soil around each plant with your fingers.
• Planting Through The Sides – If you opt to plant through the sides, gently pull the moss apart and wrap the ball of root in a bag; this makes it much easier to slip it through the wire. Once this is done you may remove the plastic bag.
• Adding Soil – Increase soil to the hanging basket, leaving only ¾” at the rims top.
